NMN reverses aging

The evidence

Human RCTs only show NAD+ blood levels rise — zero data on clinical endpoints (lifespan / healthspan).

Why the claim spreads

Backed by charismatic longevity researchers and animal data; 'a molecule that reverses aging' is the ultimate aspirational pitch.

The mechanism, in brief

NAD⁺ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is one of the busiest 'electron carriers' in cell metabolism. It accepts electrons in the ETC to become NADH (covered in niacin-b3/nad earlier), but NAD⁺ has a second role: enzyme-reaction substrate — once cleaved, it's gone and must be re-synthesized.
